In 2011 Google heavily promoted website authorship. In 2012 I believe that it will have a huge impact on search. I am not really that tech savvy but I do follow what is going on with those in the know, and right now everyone is talking about authorship using rich snippets. From my searches I believe that I may be the first to implement this in the life insurance industry in Canada. I just implemented authorship so as of today I am yet to see it appear in google search results, but here is how I got set up and verified for this website using Joomla CMS.
